Building Ferrari's all electric wooden boat. (Part 2)
Part-2 took almost 8 months to complete as I build the boat on weekends and after work.
This is the final stage before turning the boat. Hopefully the boat will be completed before next spring. I'll install a RIM drive engine next which is a very amazing technology.
This part of the boat building consists of fairing, spiling, sanding, filling and repeat this over and over and over again. I probably sanded for more than 50 hours in total. I'm so glad that now I can work inside the boat which is similar to furniture making.
Even though the final planking of the sides seems straightforward in the video, it was the most difficult and time consuming part. In the video it may seem like I'm just stacking straight planks on top of each other while in reality, on a concave surface two straight lines will not meet with each other therefore you need spiling. All the final planks you see are not straight pieces. Every single plank is following the curvature of the planks under it. It is an extremely difficult task and even 1mm mistake would lead a gap between planks. I spent 3 days just looking at the boat contemplating how I can do it right. I even started to see planks in my dreams..
I understand that some people don't like the background music and would prefer an ASMR type video. Unfortunately I do listen loud music when building the boat so I have to mask the sounds with background music.
I used designs from Dan Lee : @DanLeeBoatbuilding
Music in order:
Une Belle Histoire (1972) _ Michel Fugain _ Piano Cover
Canon in D (Pachelbel s Canon) - Cello & Piano [BEST WEDDING VERSION]
Indila - Tourner Dans Le Vide (Piano Cover) by Peter Buka
John Murphy - Adagio In D Minor (Sunshine) [Piano Cover]
La bohème - Charles Aznavour - Piano solo
Passacaglia - Handel_Halvorsen (Piano Solo)
Now We Are Free _ Honor Him (from Gladiator ) Hans Zimmer Jacob s Piano
Merry-Go-Round of Life - Howl s Moving Castle [Piano] _ Joe Hisaishi

Part-2 is now available: ua-cam.com/video/7JpWJ2LRhDU/v-deo.html As an amateur hobbyist boat builder, I decided to replicate the Ferrari's designer Frank Stephenson's custom made Slipper launch electric boat. I used designs from Dan Lee : @DanLeeBoatbuilding the plans are drawn by naval architect Michel Berryer which in my opinion way superior to Glen-L's blueprints. Modern boat building is evo...

Hurry up,your audience is hungry for more. You are our b***h😂
Is the boat that tRump warned us about?
Craft man! Wow very beautifull!
Great video and beautiful skill. Could do without the music though and just enjoy the sounds of the process
I know but I listen rock music in the background so I couldn't make a tool sound only video
Absolutely amazing! She's turning out to be a most wonderful and beautiful hull; I can hardly wait to see how you're coming along with her once you flip her over. Congratulations on such an incredible accomplishment.
Eres muy bueno en lo que haces. Felicidades 🎉
Apaixonei 😍🤩🤩
если они её с нула разрабатывают ,то не понятно для чего они делают такие тупые подгонки сопрягающихся деталей. Если они делают по шаблону ,то почему ноахуй с таким оборудованием такие тупые неточности.ГАВНО!!!!!!
Wow. Most impressive.
I'm also curious what epoxy that is - never seen powdered epoxy before - only Cascamite glue
What are those nails in your brad nailer? Not metal, some sort of plastic or even bamboo?
Raptor nails. They are plastic. They can be sanded and never rusts. Also you can easly remove them with a tap to the wood laterally
Some of the construction techniques seem quite bizarre to me but there is no denying that the result is quite stunning. I can't wait to see the finished vessel next year.
this work is completely underrated. Awesome skills man!
Mrs Richards: "I paid for a room with a view !" Basil: (pointing to the lovely view) "That is Torquay, Madam ." Mrs Richards: "It's not good enough!" Basil: "May I ask what you were expecting to see out of a Torquay hotel bedroom window ? Sydney Opera House, perhaps? the Hanging Gardens of Babylon? Herds of wildebeest sweeping majestically past?..." Mrs Richards: "Don't be silly! I expect to be able to see the sea!" Basil: "You can see the sea, it's over there between the land and the sky." Mrs Richards: "I'm not satisfied. But I shall stay. But I expect a reduction." Basil: "Why?! Because Krakatoa's not erupting at the moment ?"

You are an amazing craftsmen. Beautiful work!! That is going to be one beautiful boat when you finish. Can't wait for the next episode. Cheers from Austin, TX
Well met, noble craftsman and esteemed builder of the wooden vessel, With great admiration and wonder have I beheld thy fine work in this moving picture. The artistry with which thou joinest the timbers, swiftly forming a stately barque, stirs in me the highest reverence and admiration. Such craftsmanship and profound knowledge of shipbuilding are truly rare in these our days. Thy skillful handling of the wood, the expert mortising and tenoning, the artful forging of iron nails and fittings, all bespeak thy great mastery. Watching thee saw and plane each plank, with a patience and precision befitting a true master, filled my heart with joy and amazement. Verily, the wooden keel, which took shape in thy hands, shall one day cleave the waves of the world's seas like a sharp dagger through soft flesh. May thy boat always glide safely and swiftly over the waters, untouched by storms and the caprices of nature. I thank thee for sharing thy wondrous craft, and may the favor of the gods ever watch over thee and thy noble works. In deepest admiration and with the best of wishes, A humble admirer of the woodcraft
Written in the style of a person from better times gone by.
Beautiful job!! I love it. How long did the build take; Approximate hours out in, and over how long??
Bravo kardesim
A boat that beautiful should have 😢that special sound of big ol V 8
Im ready for part three , come on get your finger out ;) !
wow he must have herd me lol
nice protect your ears but not your lungs
Awesome, caught 1 & 2, looking forward to 3.
Absolutely high end craftsmanship! The use of high strength epoxy resin on the hull with criss crossing wood hull layers will insure a durable bottom can spread the load along the beam.
What an Artisan...
The amount of sanding must be insane. My shoulders are sore from looking at you do all that fairing. Work of art !
04:16 Genius !!
great art well done video music !
Nice work baba!
Those nail in the gun he uses is copper? stainless? brass? gulvanize?
Please could you make a video tour of your workshop and show the CNC, the compressed air sistem that you use and some of your favourite tools and machines, I would really like that video and I love your workshop. How do you organize yourself and your work on it, what you like and dislike about your workshop?
Honestly, it is not that spectacular to show but you may watch my old videos in a date order to see the progress of my workshop with the improvements of my skills.
Serdar bey inanılmaz bir iş başarıyorsunuz. Hayranlıkla izliyorum
gonna get sued so hard
My channel is not monetized 😁
Does she really need all this huge structure?
I love that she is rarely need epoxy-firberglassed.
ELECTRIC ? No , that's just wrong . a boat that looks like that needs to make some noise
Damn, H3H3 is looking 🔥
I just discovered this after stumbling upon part 1. I now can't wait for part 3, but seems like that'll take a while 😭
I can't get excited about a runabout restored and maintained professionally, owned by someone with more money than God, but watching a real person craft something like this for himself is just phenomenal. Truly amazing and inspiring. She will be a gorgeous vessel when finished, and I can't wait to see it.
All electric? Comon man, drop a big V12 in that
It would capsize. The hull is not designed for planing.
Had the mute the panic seeking Music ... otherwise brilliant
Part 3 please. Awesome project. It inspires me to finish my boat.
the light spots in the fiberglass can mean that here is not enough harz, so potential delamination in the longterm
Ah, no it is West system 404 epoxy filler. After sanding the low spots are filled with it.
@@serdarbas8016 ah okay 👍
Şahane olmuş elinize sağlık.
but what about the sharks?
Dear Lord great work...
why did i have to find these videos before you've finished, now i have to wait months for the next one!!
The Ghibli music was a really nice touch =)
